Bro, who are you kidding? Donaire can go up all the way to 140, he's not PPV worthy. Look at his ratings, they blow without a Mexican. You really think he'll be in a PPV at 126, 130, 135, or 140 if he gets that far? It's not about the weight class, he's just not an attraction, his opponents suck, he has like 3 good opponents his whole career. He's never going to be in a PPV, not because he's not popular, it's because he doesn't fight that opponent that if he beats, he'd have fans saying wow he beat the crap out of a fighter like that. Darchinyan, Montiel, and Mathebula are his best. At best they are very good fighters and he just doesn't have enough of those.

He'll be a good undercard fighter at best, at his highest weight class. He's not willing to do big leaps of weight classes like the greats have. He's comfortable where he's at, fighting the guys he's fighting.

I agree i think Donaire deserved to get hes $ on with Arce he had a busy year Mathebula and Nishioka, Rigo has had bad luck career wise but still has accomplished amazing things for just 11 fights so the talent is there! I wouldn't cry duck so far about Donaire V Rigo unless Donaire skips Rigo next year in which case ill be the first one.

yeah I would agree with that if Donaire doesn't fight Rigo next year but I think it's pretty clear the whole point of having Rigo on the undercard was to set up a future fight. If Top Rank wanted to avoid a Donaire-Rigo fight they wouldn't put Rigo anywhere near a Donaire undercard.

Donaire had a good year. I don't give him too much credit for Vazquez or Arce though. HIs best wins this year were Mathebula and Nishioka for sure.

A funny thing I've noticed is this.....

Floyd fights WBC 147 champ and #2 WW Ortiz, and than WBA 154 champ and #1 SWW Cotto, and people slam his opposition for some reason.

Donaire fights Top 10 122 fighter Vazquez, IBF 122 champ and Top 10 at 122 Mathebula, Arce, and than #1 122 fighter Nishioka, and gets all the credit in the world from some of the same people who try to discredit Floyd's last couple fights.

Anyways, Donaire had a solid year. It was a dry year in terms of FOTY though, not much competition this year, with the exception of Marquez who KO'd Manny. I hope he fights Mares and/or Rigondeaux next or it'll be a hole in his resume.

He won't avoid him no more cuz rigo sign a contract with top rank witch guaranty a fight with donaire in less of three fights..so since donaire have to do it he should take the fight now that rigo still getting experience in the pro game..
