the fight/ko win was just icing on the cake for donaire this year...he has one of the best if not the best left hooks in boxing today and he caught arce flush on the jaw with it..

No wonder even most boxing die-hards don't pay attention to fights under 135.
Before that he beat the #1 guy in his weight class. And don't even try to diss Nishioka because I know you think Demarco was a good win for Broner.

The shot looks comic-bookish. Donaire, the "hero", right down to the stars on his boots and the lightning bolts on his trunks, utterly poised, landing a picture perfect left hook on Arce, who looks discombobulated from head to toe.

          Yes, top opposition.

Nishioka was #1 in the division.
Mathebula was the IBF title holder.
Vazquez was ranked in the top 10.

So in one year, Donaire moved up to a new weight class, unified belts, beat the #1 guy and became The Ring champion as well.

only win on that list thats impressive is nishioka. neither mathebula nor vasquez are anything impressive. esp in a division with mares, moreno, rigondeaux etc.

Mathebula and Vazquez were good opponents, but Nishioka did it for me. We'd all like to see Donaire fight some other guys, but it's tough to fault Nonito for fighting the top guy in the division.
