I invited a bunch of pinoy friends to watch the fight yesterday. People who normally would have been really down for it in the past. None of em watched it anf the one person that did stepped out during the pac marquez replay. Pinoy boxers wull never suceed in the states if all yall support is just 1 figjter. Donaire is dope he should get some love now.. just sayin.

You would think that Donaire would inherit the "Pinoy Savior" mantle huh?

One of the biggest symptoms of clinical depression is you no longer enjoy the things you used to love. All of the pinoys are depressed right now, Donaire cant save them.

Donaire needs tougher fights before he can get praise from the masses. He's been dominating smaller/older fighters and having a hard time getting rid of lesser ones. He needs a rival type of match up. Pac had Morales, Barrera, and Marquez. Donaire doesn't have that yet. Until people see him face some adversity and be in a fight of the year kind of fight, it'll be hard to sell him to the masses. He's one of my favorites. Fights smart, speaks well, dedicated to the sport, and is a clean athlete. He should be huge by now, but he hasn't had a really tough "Fight of the Year" kind of fight and that's what's keeping him from becoming a household name imo.
