        That crowd was there entirely to support Molina, but there was just no way they could will their overmatched Mexican-American fighter to victory. Khan's "Viva Mexico!" was simply a PR move, I thought. He was simply trying to build some rapport with huge fans of the sport. I saw nothing wrong with it.

            yah i think it had to do more with the mexican-american crowd...khan was pretty much fighting in carlos molina's backyard...

              Smart move by Khan, I would have done the same thing. You have to try to gain support from a large boxing audience.

                So would I. As a professional fighter, you're basically an entertainer. If you're star, or a potential star, you ought to be playing it up. Wherever you're fighting in the world, you should be seeking to draw more fans. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
