Canelo by a country mile. I wanted to see this fight last May.

Pacquiao get a good win or two before that fight is talked about once again.

Guerrero is a top ranked WW, though it doesn't really do anything for Floyd. It's a decent win over a top WW, nothing more or less. I don't see how people could completely slam Floyd for fighting Guerrero though, he's coming wins over 2 Top 10 WW's, and is a top ranked WW.

Alvarez shouldn't happen yet. He hasn't gotten one good win, aside from an old Rhodes who was Top 10 at the time. I'd rather see Alvarez get a win or two over the likes of Trout, Kirkland, Angulo, Molina, Lara/Vanes before fighting Floyd. As it stands now, it's a decent win over a top 10 SWW. The hope would be that Alvarez goes on to have a good career.

Bradley wouldn't happen, but it'd be decent. Bradley is still one of the top few fighters from 140-147, though he should have lost to Pac. He does have wins over Alexander, Peterson, Witter, Abregu, and Holt.

I was at the fight live and I still didn't. However it would be more appealing now than any of the names on the list.

Bradley wasn't on the list. It should have been and would be technically the best option if Floyd was to fight at WW IMO. However we all know Bob Arum won't let that happen.

Pac fans hate hate hate (hate) when boxing fans point this out. They also seem to be out of the loop as most do not know (as you mentioned), Martinez is already under contract for a fight and can't even be considered.

Can you imagine if he was though? .....Floyd fought Martinez after being KD in the Chavez Jr fight and just had surgery, he was old and injured. Floyd gets zero credit. lol

I rather have Floyd fight Guerrero, since he fought be better opposition. Canelo doesn't deserve it, he needs to fight a legitimate opponent at 154 first. I like Marquez, but he needs to retire already.

martinez is out of the picture. he's a small MW and he said he can make 154, i doubt he'll be that healthy at 154 but Floyd won't take the risk because of the what if, what martinez still has everything at 154. martinez has the tools to beat floyd.

so it all comes down to canelo and guerrero, and we all know which one is the more relevant and competitive fight.

marquez wants no rematch against floyd, and he wont be lured to any money.

                  pacquiao needs to recover.

Bring on canelo next. It's a tough fight for mayweather, but at this point that's what everyone wants to see him in. Then I hope he fights martinez next, imo he has no problems in that fight.

                      - JMM. Even if the great Burt Sugar was alive he would go against everything he said like in the first fight where he thought JMM would give Floyd hell and could beat him. The entire boxing community knows it would be another easy fight and just another way for people to point at the fact that Floyd dominated the guy that Pac could never decisively beat. So no, **** fight as was the first one.

                      - Pac. He hasn't fought a top WW since Cotto at a CW back in 2009. Judges had Pac losing to a JWW fighting at WW in Bradley (like they had LW JMM losing to Pac at WW last year). Pac just got KTFO as he's still the same fighter from 2008. Until it is Pac’s last fight, Bob Arum is not interested. That has been known for years. So no, not happening for another year or two.

                      - Alvarez hasn't fought anyone at JMW to prove he can hang with someone like Floyd. Though he is elite for ANY other JMW fighter not named Floyd. He should be fighting Trout. So no, not yet.

                      - Guerreo isn’t good enough, though he is elite for ANY other WW fighter not named Floyd. So no, nobody at WW is even good enough to beat Floyd let alone be considered a real threat.

So shall we start talking about Floyd fighting MW's? SMW's (without catchweights of course as that is a big big big big double standard no-no for Floyd)?

The entire boxing community knows unless Floyd fights someone a lot bigger than him and in a weight class that he does not belong in, it will be looked at as a cherry pick and a fight vs someone who is (as the pactarts say) just not good enough.

However it's something like 70% of the "fans" (espn or Ring had this pole) stating that Floyd Alvarez needs to happen. Yet when it's signed I look for many of these "fans" to flip it up and call Alvarez overly hyped and green (post fight of course). So ya'll don't act surprised if Floyd gives those 70% what they want.
                      Green K bro.

i think Floyd will never get love either but if he went up to 160 to fight Sergio then I don't see how anyone can hate on that
