To me, this has to be the best "24/7" type episode I have seen in a while. Showtime hit a homerun with this one. The slow motion shots of the fight and the dramatic music made it seem like a classic Rocky movie and made the fight seem more exciting than it was. I also enjoyed the extra bits like the different angles and extra audio when they would switch to Alvarez, then to the corner, then to the fans, and so on.

Trout appears to be an old school fighter. Props to him for handling the entire thing as a gentleman. He's well traveled and stays to his roots. I can see a good future for him if he can land big fights.
As for Cotto, his time came and went. He gave us great fights but I think it's time for him to hang them up. I cringe every time he gets hit flush, he can't take shots like he used to anymore.Comment

This. And that bit where his wife tells him shes hurting also got me a bit emotional. I find it disgusting how the cameras seem to love the fighter's family's tears, of course maybe they shouldn't be there in the first place... Still, that doesn't make it right to try and make television out of people's suffering.
That being said, Trout's a humble dude and a hard worker, I'm glad for him.Comment
