    Middleweight contender Fernando Guerrero (25-1, 19KOs) has advised BoxingScene.com that he accepted a proposal to fight WBO middleweight champion Peter Quillin (28-0, 20KOs) in a Showtime televised fight on February 9th from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The main event features Danny Garcia defending his WBC/WBA titles against former beltholder Zab Judah.

    Wow, didn't see this one coming. Nice matchup. They both have power but Guerrero's chin is questionable. I can see it playing out just like the N'Jikam fight.

                I'm glad it's not Taylor but I don't like the fact that Guerrero gets an undeserved title shot. He hasn't done anything since getting starched by Brewer. At least he's not in the main event.

                  Sounds like a decent fight, and everyone's relieved it's not Jermaine Pete's fighting. lol

                  Looks like they're really working on making Brooklyn Quillin's base of operations.

                    I'd have rather seen Quillin against Pirog or N'Jikam again, but Guerrero is definitely a better option than Taylor or Rubio. The fact that N'Jikam won (arguably) every round he wasn't knocked down in is a problem.
