For those who believe marquez was juicing...

For those who believe Marquez was juicing.
Do you say that because of that "one punch power"
Look at round 5 at the about the 1:31 mark. Pacquiao comes in the same way, and gets punched flush in the face.
He didn't fall, he didn't wobble.
Why didn't he fall if Marquez has this new punching power?

Could it be that he saw it coming, and prepared himself to absorb the punch.
It is the same punch that knocked him down, of course in the sixth he didn't see it.

Also, this proves that this wasn't a lucky punch.
A punch that you lands over and over isn't luck, its just a matter of time.

The only thing missing from this thread is a video of round 5.....

    Anywho.....

People are just looking for reasons as to why Pacquiao was KO'd.....a leaner Marquez with slightly more mass is an excuse for speculation........

Marquez looked physically bigger, but the added power is not what ko'd pacquiao. It was still technique. Marquez tripped over PAc's foot when he got knocked down, but he tripped to the side. Pac tripped over Marquez's foot coming foward and fell into the punch.

Marquez timed Pac coming in and landed a powerful right hand that Pacquiao didn't see coming. The fact that he didn't see it coming added even more effect on it the punch, plus Pacquiao's force lunging forward.

A cheat is a cheat is a cheat. All you're saying is that even a normal Marquez would have KO'd Pacman in this situation. A specious argument to say the least.

Well there goes your "unbiased" views.

No, what I'm saying is if that you say he is juiced, and he is the hulk, and punches like Bruce Lee, why couldn't he knock out pac with that punch, which occurred literally the next round.

              Why?
Because Pac did not see it.

I still don't know how PAC couldn't see that punch coming, the punch wasn't thrown from the side or from beneath his line of vision but straight flush at his face, although yes it was a very quick punch. When I look back over Marquez training photage seeing him land those right hands on the heavy bag and pads you really get a sense of the power, you can feel those shots go through you just watching them on screen so with 8 or 10oz gloves that shot could damn near kill someone.

Maybe the first punch softened him up and the 2nd one cracked him? Do you really want to go through every fight that has ended a knockout and claim that the KO punch was the hardest punch that landed?
