It wasn't so much the physique imo as the uplift in punching power.

Marquez went from never flooring Pacquiao in 37 rounds to nearly taking his head off in the 3rd before putting him to sleep in the 6th.

Something changed that's for sure, whether it changed legally or not, who knows but I can understand the scepticism (even if Lampley should keep those thoughts to himself).

Exactly. The whole turn of events surrounding all this is just becoming comedic. HBO praising one guy, who works with a known PEDs supplier, but slams another one as a cheat, despite both testing clean....

Then you have Marquez working with Heredia in the 3rd fight, looking just as ripped (see pic for third fight weigh in), but no one mentions any power difference, because Pac didn't get hit by two punches he walked straight into or get hit by a shot that even Roy Jones commented on as "That's the cleanest punch Marquez is ever going to be able to land on Pac" that would have done exactly the same thing at 126, 130 or, as we saw, 147. Pac still got up before the ref even had a chance to start counting, so clearly it wasn't that powerful a shot, just a very clean one. I've seen Pac more hurt by a jab!

Either way, Marquez looked just as strong for the 3rd fight, no one says anything because Pac still beat him, but now he's a steroid cheat because Pacquiao got timed and set up, walking face first into a perfect shot?

Can you even tell which is the 4th fight Marquez pic? Supposedly the one in which he looks bigger than ever and thus clearly on roids? They look exactly the same.

So was Marquez, but Arum, Roach and all of Pac's team refused it. Marquez wanted it.

HBO doesn't mention **** about that. Nor do they even mention Conte working with Donaire.

The hypocrisy is astounding.

Marquez is a cheat, PEDs user and works with a previously confessed PEDs guy. Despite saying he wanted to do testing (as long as Pac did too though), they are trying to make out as if Marquez deliberately skipped over it somehow. He's come up clean in all his stuff.

Now, Doniare is also blasting guys out, left, right and center, but no mention of working with Conte, no mention of any possibility of foul play there, but Marquez and Arce are obviously cheats because they happen to work with Heredia?

Lampley needs to leave with Merchant. He needs to be fired.

Not sure if you also saw the Lampley show but he went on and on about PEDs problem in boxing and he did mention Berto and Peterson.

The way the talk went, it appeared that they (Lampley and HBO) were very suspiscious being that Marquez had Heredia who admittedly said that he participated in PEDs, as we all know.

Lampley also then went on to say that Morales, in respect to Marquez, twitted that "the Mexican pharmacy was better tonight"

Also its possible that they may have some more circumstantial evidence but can't say as its just that, circumstantial ....... but one thing is for sure, they went hard on Marquez tonight. They didn't mention him by name in every statement they made about PEDs but you knew what they were trying to say.

As for Donaire, yes he is blasting guys but he is also doing true PEDs testing without anyone telling him to do it. Also, he has been consitently been KOing guys even before Conte.

Instead Marquez, who has never been known to be a big knockout puncher and never put Manny down in 3 fights did it twice in this fight. So that there is some suspicion, its normal.

As for that last week spectacle about taking the test (Marquez, Arum, Roach): Well, it was the last 10 days or so. So it wouldn't have made much of a difference by then to all of a sudden do drug testing. It wouldn't have proved much. They had to bring it up way before. To be sure, they had to be tested 365 days a year. Just during training camps is not enough especially for someone who trains well before the "regularly" scheduled training camp starts.

But even then, what makes things more suspicious is when Heredia pulled a line like "I know of 20 drugs that can be hidden from those drug tests". While there was already lots of talk about Manny over the last couple of years BUT could you imagine if Manny had a guy like Heredia in his corner? I'm sure there would have been a lot more talk about Manny being on PEDs.

If there is a Flom0 defending Marquez here they should all be banned. It shows they never cared anything about drug testing, only thing they cared about was attacking Pacquiao because of Floyd.

Some Floyd fans told me they just want a clean sport yet they over here saying Pacquiao's camp cant cry roids, ok fine, but if you really care about ridding the sport of roids you know damn well Marquez is suspect, 39 year old when test levels drop, who has never been known to be muscular, develops huge traps shoulders, and punching power in just 8 weeks? BS. It will take more than 8 weeks to develop that type of body naturally and at that age.
