reason #1: lemeiux fights @160 and canelo fights @154.

reason #2: lemeiux's handlers know they cannot face another loss.

160lbs is fairly weak, lemeiux needs to step up the comp. knocking out bum after bum, while entertaining, is wearing thin. let's see if he has learned to be a more rounded boxer and has any stamina to speak of.

Lemieux has shown nothing to suggest that he'd last a full minute in the ring against Canelo. That's a laughable fight.

what did Matthew Hatton show prior to his fight with Canelo? Hatton is a 147 fighter and went the distance

Vera is a little battle worn and not a big puncher. However I just checked Boxrec and he's fighting (former 154 champ) Dzinziruk next month. I had no idea! Good for him.

After upsetting Mora twice (I had Sergio winning both times but who really cares?), it would be neat to see Vera get another upset against Dzinziruk.

Still. I don't think Vera is that big a risk. And to be honest; if Lemeiux, with his youth and explosiveness, can't beat Vera, he may as well find another job.
