Comments Thread For: De La Hoya; It's Sink or Swim For Khan and Molina

Superstar promoter Oscar de la Hoya believes "people's champion" Amir Khan remains one of the biggest draws in boxing despite his current run of form.

Khan tops the bill in America again this weekend, despite losing his last two fights, as he tries to get back to winning ways against unbeaten Carlos Molina in Los Angeles.

The Briton expressed his gratitude to De la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions and American television giant Showtime this week after they stuck by him, but the promoter insists such faith is justified because of Khan's fan-friendly style.

Oscar knows! Win or Lose, the dude puts on a show, every time. He had fight of the year in 2010, he had one of the fights of the year in 2011 as well.
Yes, he is a flawed fighter, who is still young and still learning and for someone who strives to fight the best opponents in an age of cherry picking and ducking to keep the "0", he has to be commended. When you fight the very best, there will be losses. No shame in going out on your shield.

He should hire a publicist that can curtail all these constant interviews and soundbites coming out of his camp to a minimum.
