Made this thread the other day. It got very little replies despite being a Mexican on Mexican fight. My guess is the Mexican fans know that if they spoke the truth, they would admit that their flavor of the month Alvarez gets his ass kicked by Vargas

Big time..I think Canelo is good..but he is clearly being hyped up way to much..but I can see why, since he is a cash cow. Vargas would of schooled him first then knocked him out.

Mexican here. All that has to said is Vargas fought Ike, De la Hoya, and trinidad. I like Canelo, but lets be honest his opponents are a joke; however, I think de la Hoya will be stepping up his competition from now on.

I like both fighters. Vargas was far more proven of course. But from the skill I see in Canelo against lesser fighters I make the fight even. Canelo may fight someone good this May. I know most think I am crazy to give Canelo a chance but I believe in him until proven otherwise. If I have to pick now I'd go with Vargas because of real life wins but after May 2013 I might change my mind. I have seen this question before a few times. Lots of guys want Canelo to lose even if it's a fantasy fight. Not me. I hope he never loses.
