Amir Khan should forget about pleasing the fans

Either way, for any young boxer out there reading this(if any) or just in general, the number 1 rule i'd personally say to follow is NEVER LISTEN TO THE FANS. Never. Go about your business and career and DO WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU. A perfect example of this is the P4P king himself Floyd Mayweather. Do you think he gives a flying **** what the fans think? Absolutely not, and rightly so.

A boxer should never forget that Boxing fans are the most fickle fans out there. We never want what's best for you the fighter, only whats best for ourselves. Then when you get screwed over doing what we wanted you to do, we'll laugh and mock you and simply move onto the next guy. That's just what we do.

If we call you boring, **** it. Be boring. They called Mayweather boring for most of his career. Many still do. Yet this same boring fighter is now the highest paid sportsman in the world. The fans wanted him to fight prime cotto, prime Margarito etc etc not to even mention Pacquiao. Now wether he ducked them or not is a whole other debate. The fact remains though that whilst all those fighters who were supposed to be the ones to beat Mayweather have all fell off whilst Mayweather remains at the top.

Now im no Mayweather fanboy but the reason why i'm using his name is because he is the perfect example of a fighter who most certainly DID NOT listen to the fans, and look where he got to.

He shouldn't give a flying **** if people label him a cherry picker, coward etc why? Because theres fighters out there that dont cherry pick and fight in an exciting style yet still get abused. At the end of the day, boxing fans are gonna hate you either way. You can listen to them and do as they ask yet still get hated on or you can tell them to go **** themselves and do whats best for your career. Khan is a perfect example of someone who picked the wrong option.

Pretty much, I don't get why he wants to chase tough fights, he was racing after Bradley trying to prove he was the best at 140 etc and he was the bigger name what for? He still got *****ed on for it. He needs to be exactly like Mayweather and grow a tougher skin, let them accuse you of ducking whoever just don't listen, just do your thing and give the fans a middle finger.

OP is a good guy, but he doesn't get it. when the best fighters come to your country to fight you develop less nationalistic bias.

Some people will always hate Khan, because he is not American

Some will hate the colour of his skin

Some will hate his religion.

When you combine all four its a recipe for a lot of hate in the online community
