HBO needs a commentator who can bring a new audience

Now that Emmanuel Steward is gone, and Merchant is retiring, we got Roy Jones Jr, Jim Lampley and Max Kellerman left. They'll probably need a back up to rotate in. This would be a good opportunity to bring in a younger commentator who can bring a different audience to the sport.

Of course they have to know boxing as well.

Don't know who this may be....but I am just saying.

I was thinking more of an American Idol approach. Too bad Meta World Peace still playing in the NBA. He's a boxing fan and would probably be a hilarious commentator lol.

I think Max Kellerman is superb. His comments are always extremely insightful. Roy Jones is cool too. But none of these guys bring what Larry brings, Lampley either. They need another more light-hearted, off the cuff type to balance things. Too bad there isn't a boxing version of Charles Barkley.

They should hire a Brit. Ian Darke is my favourite. Love his voice (no ****)
