Why are hispanics more prevalent in lower weight classes (now and in the past)

Hispanics are must successful around featherweight up to light middleweight, then the trail tends to go cold.

We have Arreola ATM, but he's not great. It would be awesome if there was a great (or very good.) hispanic fighter who was heavyweight ATM.

Plus looking at boxrec's all time ratings, there isn't a hispanic or Mexican (seeing as they are historically the most succesful hispanic/latina boxing nation.) in the top 20 of heavyweights. Nino Valdes is 29, then Artuto Godoy at 60.

    It seems odd.

youre either a fey boy from back east or a foreigner.

if you lived in socal you would see that latinos are of shorter stature.
altho, like the chineze and others, the new generations are getting taller.

Nothing to do with that. It's all about tradition. Latinos always been very good at the lower weight classes so they just continue to produce "smaller" fighters. It's difficult to start a new trend when there's really no history of HW boxers in their culture.

wait for andy ruiz... he will get there, once hes a hw champ, he will drop to 200lb and become cruiserweight champ, then to 175, then to 168, 160, just to finish at his ideal weight of 154 and champ on 6 weight classes...

            that should level the statistics..
