Comments Thread For: Poonsawat Aims For a Statement Win With Rigondeaux

Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym has spent of his 50-fight career in his native Thailand. Most of the biggest moments through 11-plus years as a pro, however, have taken place on the road.

The former two-division titlist fights for the first time in the United States when he faces unbeaten Guillermo Rigondeaux this Saturday at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The bout serves as the co-feature to the 122 lb. championship between Nonito Donaire and Jorge Arce, with both fights airing live on HBO.

This is a real challenge for Rigo. Poonsawat would be a nice name on his resume.

Considering how Rigo got rocked in that last fight which in turn made him actually stop running and fight back..I think it's just a matter of time before he takes a loss. I like the guy but all that flashy arms at your sides stuff only works but for so long..I really like Rigo he's fast as grease lightning but I think he's vulnerable when pressed hard..against the right fighter he doesn't survive being on the ropes.

Im not on the Rigo-hype train yet. But if he can pull of the win against this guy, then I would that he's that good.
P-swat is really really good and even though he fought the majority of his fights in Thailand, those guys over there are tough.
This is a giant step up for Rigo..I'll tune in to a free stream

This will be a good fight because for the first time Rigo will be fighting a guy who is not scared of him.

Why do I have such a difficult time taking a guy with "poon" in his name seriously?
