I'm confident JMM will go on his own way if he loses the 5th fight. I think he's gotten what he wants and can now look for his money fight (which is a 5th fight).

I was lukewarm to the announcement of a 4th fight and only wanted to see it if it was in Mexico but now IDC. A 5th would really be a spectacle if it happened in Mexico but probably won't.

The problem is that the 4th fight has gotten so much press and has literally permeated the mainstream to a level I haven't seen in recent years that people here will be ready to see it again. It guaranteed return on your money. Floyd-JMM 2 is not.

Even if it doesn't match the 4th fight, I bet that it still gets massive coverage as just to follow up on the 4th fight because they're now linked forever.

The only drawback is that Pacquiao will be desperate for a win of any kind and it could change the style of the fight where he is not as consistently aggressive as he was in the 4th. I thought he looked really good early, but anything can happen once a war breaks out so there still isn't really any way to know what happens in a 5th fight. Usually, especially with these two... I'm less concerned with who wins and more how the fight itself plays out.

Well Pac is already 2-1-1 against JMM so even if he loses its a draw overall

And why should Marquez get to chose location and other things? Hes not the draw and hes down 1-2-1 in the series.

Pac should and will get the lionshare of the purse and get to chose location
In that case Pacquiao is coming off 2 loses in a row...he no one to be calling shots...LOL

Someone creates a profile on a forum thats new and they are automatically an ALT? In that case, anyone who signed up new to this forum in 2012 in an ALT? hmmmmm

in any case.....Mayweather is the biggest draw in boxing....None of Pacs fight vs JMM have sold more than Mayweathers fight vs JMM...so why would you think that after Pac getting Iced that a 5th fight with JMM would generate more interest, attention or revenue than a rematch with Mayweather?

          This should be the place.

OK, maybe you are new indeed, you seem poorly informed. I'll clue you in: Little anticipated Pac JMM 3 did better than Floyd long awaited comeback vs JMM. Now they just had a FOTY, ROTY, KOTY fight with a stunning ending. It's the kind of fight that makes viewers into boxing fans, so no question there's more built in demand than for the lukewarm Floyd rematch.

And again, Marquez can get a much much better split. Is it sinking in yet?

Sure you don't know how boxing works. Marquez is not a cash cow.

Pac has never done OSDT and Marquez hasnt done it either....I dont think he did Random OSDT vs Mayweather....so why would either of then do it now?

Top Rank fighters dont take random tests

Im a fan so im not unimformed...I do agree with all that you said but do you know how many would crucify Floyd if he gave another fighter a rematch that he dominated let alone knock out cold, and yet many are advocating JMM to immediately rematch Pac?

JMM can get a much bigger split possibly....but he was just Guranteed 5 or 6 million with some money from PPV that would total $10 Million.....you dont think a rematch vs Mayweather on Cinco de Mayo weekend would get JMM a fatter paycheck than a 5th fight with Manny?

Roach himself said he doesnt want JMM right away.....

Well, the first time around it was a dream match of sorts. Not one in super high demand, but for me it was. Of course I knew of the weight issues, but I just wanted to see them in the ring together. I was happy to pay just for that and watch them try to out think each other. I wouldn't really mind seeing it again now that JMM looks better at the weight but that's just me.

They would need to have JMM fans on board for the fight if it is to be a successful PPV again and I'm not sure there is much to work with to promote a rematch to fans who know styles make fights.

Pacquiao beat Marquez 2 times but still gave him a rematch.
Pacquiao made Morales quit but still gave him a rematch.
Pacquaio gave Barrera a worst beating in his career but Pac still gave him a rematch. Money talks dude.
