Oh absolutely. Way too high risk/low reward. The haste with which Canelo left the building after the Trout-Cotto fight tells you everything you need to know.

If Floyd wants to fight lightweights, he should do it at lightweight, not 154.
Who would be a better 147 lb fighter?

        Berto? no
        Marquez? no
        Pacquiao? no
        Maligaggi? no
        Alexander? no

Well that is debatable, the guy weighs 151 it's kind of hard to call him a JMW just like people don't consider Martinez a full MW cause he has made 157, 158, and just most recently against Chavez 159.

Only a better challenge because he's bigger, and his "perceived" intangibles just because he's 22. And while I see a lot of positives, the guy has yet to fight anybody. If Canelo was a 147 pounder you would be calling it a cherrypick.

He will fight Guerrero in May and dupe fans into believing he will fight Canelo in September. Do you believe that? That's only four months apart.

He is the only legitimate fight out there for him, will he take it, or will he find himself a blow up lightweight to fight?

I use to think Canelo was a hype job, but I have come around to the realization that he is brutality.

Its been a long time since I have seen a fighter with the variety of punches that Canelo comes with in smooth combinations like he does... and those body shots... They make me piss blood just watching them...

                  Question
If your talking about him fighting a blown up Lightweight, Then what will HE be who barely makes 149 in heavier fights against Canelo who usually is 164 on fight night?
                  Please answer

i hope he'll fight canelo or sergio.. i dont really like the guerrero fight, it would be the worst feeling i'd have pre-fight than going to pacquiao-marquez 4. luckily it was war.

its like waiting a year then he fights just guerrero? wtf... i dont know why some want the guerrero fight rather than the canelo fight. its okay if u dont think canelo has earn it but saying guerrero fight is the better one is really really something else.

Exactly, no one his size can beat him therefore everyone wants him to fight all these bigger guys.
You ever heard the term, "why dont you pick on somebody your own size..."
if these guys really want to fight let them make 147
