Top fight. I had it 116-112 to Carl Froch. Thought the judging was perfectly ok.

So so equal, the thing that made it turn Froch for me was his rounds were more dominant than Kessler's rounds.

Could have seen anything from 6-6 to 7-5, I had it 7-5. Froch clearly won 6 rounds. Kessler rounds were close and a lot of the time I scored them for him by virtue of his punches being cleaner and nicer looking.

I thought Kessler was done in the first 3 rounds. His reflexes were awful but he did switch it up in the 4th in a close round I scored for him. Overall though, the decrease in his ability to react to shots and to come back with his own was the changer here. Something seemed to be slightly off and it was definitely due to his long career.

Good win for Froch. I was already aware he was the real deal but this is good for his legacy. Beating people who have a win over you is always good.

Great spirited performance by both men, very tough. Froch has one of the best chins in the game too, very fun fight.

Lets not get carried away though. Ward puts the same clinic on him he did the first time. Ward is simply a league above Froch in terms of boxing ability and ring intelligence.

Rigondeaux would UD Froch and Ward though, easy work.

Good points.. and i agree.. Frochs rounds were pretty clear.. especially the first 3 and 12th..

Kessler rounds were harder to call.. even when he hurt carl badly.. that was a round he was losing.. and the Froch also rallied after.. so it could have gone either way.

Great fight though.. clearly Froch win but very competitive still

It was a great fight to watch and that tonight...
BUT I just can't stand the commentary I just wish there was a way of muting the commentary and that alone, they seriously need to add that option lol.
It's just so difficult trying to look at the fight and score at it when all you hear is Barry McGuigan constantly repeat -
"He's took his heart"
"He's walking through his punches"
"He's demoralising him"
"Froch is the only one causing damage"

It's just so annoying!
Can we not expect a professional getting paid for a job to do a job down the line?

I had the fight down as a draw, I'm aware alot probably had it for Froch but I just felt some of the rounds were closer than they were suggesting the main reason I mention that is because I felt like Kessler was landing the harder punches whilst Froch was more of on the jab.

I can understand Froch winning maybe 1/2 by the very most!!
But this could of ended up a draw.

I fully expect Kessler to announce his retirement, and I would applaud that.
