Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz wishes to congratulate Cesar Mercedes of Dominican Republic-based Manguita Promotions, for managing his first world champion and also sends thanks to Doug Loughrey, Director of Programming and Acquisitions at ESPN, now that featherweight Javier "El Abejon" Fortuna (21-0, 15 KOs) is the interim WBA Featherweight Champion.

He looked clueless in this one after a couple of great outings.

Fortuna always looks like that, but sometimes he connects good and makes guys go away. Anyone who can take his power or not allow him to land good will make him look rather average.

He is just really limited technique and skill wise, hopefully he continues to put in solid gym work so maybe he can improve a bit on that stuff.

Brutal KO waiting to happen. Sampson should keep him away from Russell Jr.
