If the former, i respect that opinion..but gonna need some elaboration!
      Ever.

Boxers train to throw and receive punches, KOs don't magically happen.

"Boxing has no lucky punches. When a man hits an incredible punch out of coincidence...it's a punch he's thrown, hundreds, thousands of times in practice. His fists are alive. If he didn't practice and it wasn't a good punch, then it wouldn't hit. And if it hit and his fists weren't alive, the opponent wouldn't fall. When I retired, I said that I fell victim to a lucky punch. But I was wrong. When I began watching it from outside the ring, I realized it. Some do it for fame, some do it for money. And for whatever the reason they endure hellish training. They put all of their feelings in their fists and hits the sand bag tens of thousands of times. They never give up no matter what. It is those living fists...that create miracles!!!-Miyata's father, Hajime no Ippo

of course they dont magically happen....but the situations in which they occur require several variables that I cant just give up to 'preparation and skill' entirely.

Tate vs Weaver is a perfect example of why i believe in lucky punches.

I'm not fussed about your disagreeing. At the end of the day dismissing the punch as lucky trivialises everything about Marquez, the training he put into the fight, his understanding of the game, his exceptional timing, his perseverance.

No many fighters have the calmness of mind to time set up a trap and time their opponents when they are on wobbly legs. Most fighters mindset would be on making out of the round but he was able to see the needle in a haystack
