I Just Don't See How Gamboa Will Beat Broner

Even though Gamboa is the more gifted athlete, his carelessness is to big of a weakness against an accurate counter puncher like Broner. Broner's power would seriously hurt Yuri to the point were if he were to get up, he wouldn't recover as fast as he has been in the past when getting knocked down. Broner has better than average defense as well. Would be an interesting fight to see, but I see Broner taking it.

The carelessness is something that only happens against opponents he isn't concerned about.

Watch the Salido, Ponce and Solis fights....he took them seriously and didn't play around. His hands were up, his movement was meaningful, his punches were short and straight. Broner has struggled with lesser fighters, I'm 100% certain that the speed and movement of Gamboa gives him huge problems.

I never thought he would to be honest, But I want to see Yuri stay active and maybe my opinion would change after another one or two fights.

Was thinking the same thing last night. The guy is more worried about looking swagged out for the crowd than he is on beating his opponent.

I still think it's the best fight to be made around 130-135. Gamboa was rusty and careless, got dropped, but he dominated most all the rounds and action. He was also huge for 130, so I'm sure he can fight at 135.

I'd like to see Gamboa fight Vazquez in say April/May, than Broner later in the year in a big showdown at 135.

Idk, it kinda reminds me of Mayweather vs Judah

Diff is, Broner arms aren't as long as May's

It would be a great fight

This is unfortunately true. Gamboa is so arrogant that he refuses to believe certain fighters are threats. When he's focused he's an animal though. Still...His chin seems shaky..although he always gets up completely fine. Broner might be a clown, but he's the goods. Don't know if Broner lets him off the hook..and even if he can't stop him..Broner is pretty disciplined with the body attack when hurting fighters.
