I'm not sure, but people saying Mayweather hasn't had any epic wins is just being nitpicky. He dominated most of his fights... Just because he was way above everyone avail to fight doesn't mean he doesn't have good wins. Though I'll say Marquez is not ahead of May or Pac atm. It really all depends what happens before they retire.

Marquez beat Peden, Gainer, Salido, Barrera, Casamayor, Diaz, Katsidis, and Pacquiao. He has arguable losses to Norwood and John as well.

Pacquiao beat Sasakul, Ledwaba, Barrera, Marquez, Morales, Solis, D. Diaz, De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, and what should have been a W over Bradley.

Mayweather beat G. Hernandez, Manfredy, Corrales, C. Hernandez, Chavez, Castillo, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, and Cotto.

You still can't put Marquez' resume and total package of wins over Floyd or Manny. If Manny doesn't get anymore solid or legit wins, and say Floyd gets 2-3-4 more solid wins over top ranked fighters, he'll surpass Manny.

People need to remember it's not all about wins and losses. It's about performances.

This rivalry between Pac and Marquez raise the stock of both fighters, win lose or draw.

Yeah, but Marquez had to go up two divisions and it's pretty obvious that Marquez is an easy style match-up vs Floyd given his short reach and stature for a (welterweight) counter-puncher. Further, Marquez looked flabby against Mayweather (love handles) since he didn't have Angel Heredia in his team back then. Try matching Mayweather against Austin Trout and Sergio Martinez and then you tell me how good he looks.

But at the end of the day, it's about resume in terms of where they rank all-time. If it was about performances and putting on shows mainly, than Ward and Gatti are ATG's for what they did.

Mayweather and Pacquiao have superior resume's to Marquez. The only way I see Marquez over taking them is if he were to somehow get wins over say Bradley and Mayweather, which won't happen. Well he could get a win over Bradley, but I doubt Floyd-JMM II happens since the first fight was such a shut out.

I don't know. I think they're all probably around top25-35 of all time.

Floyd could have done so much more. It's a shame he never got an atg rivalry like Pac/Jmm did. It's what will be remembered, not staying undefeated.

Actually. Marquez is probably not in top35. But i rate his win over Pac (and the way he did it) so high it's hard to place him.
Lot of this is bias because this fight just happened. I'll just say that i love Marquez the most out of all the 3.

Pac is greater than JMM he has taken harder fights consistently. Fighting JMM one more time was probably pushing it a step too far, as JMM is the great counter puncher and Pac was going for a KO which can be risky, very risky.
JMM knows Pac well and knew what Pac was going to do. Making a fight there is always that danger, so Pac was pushing his luck by keep giving JMM rematches this can happen eventually.

Floyd dont fight so he aint great.

Marquez went up two divisons and iced Manny and the size disparity was greater so what was the point you were trying to make again?
