From a technical perspective, does Pavlik have anything that will trouble Ward?

No. Waste of a fight for Ward. I'd much rather see him fight an actual Top 10 SMW like Stevenson, Rodriguez, or Oosthuizen.

Back in the day Pavlik had a sense of timing. That negated his slow speed quite a bit. He no longer seems to have that timing and it makes him look even slower. He also seems to have lost confidence in his jab.

I cannot see Ward having any sleepless nights waiting for their showdown. Especially when someone posted an interview with Pavlik on here recently and to me, it seemed like he was drunk.
