if HBO can rob a 40 year old man who has been champ for 10 years out of his title, dont think they will hesitate at all robbing a young guy from germany they have doe it before
r u talking about when They robbed Holyfield in the last fight with Ruiz? because Taylor beat hopkins twice far. for months now you have been screaming about how easy Sturm could handle Taylor, now you think the fight will be so close that Taylor would be granted a dicision. I understand you want to back your fav fighter but this is crazy, he should take the shot. Either why it's going to be on HBO and will be in the US.

Wow, never thought that Sturm would have turned down a fight with Taylor. Unless I'm missing something, how the hell would a fight with Maseo be in any way bigger or better for Felix than a fight with Taylor?

I can't really blame Sturm after what happened to him in the DLH fight, or more specifically, the DLH fight judging.

If he wants to come here to fight Taylor and win the belts, I'd suggest he comes and fights a lower tier guy first to get some TV exposure, and build up his value and credibility. Then he can command top $$$ and hope to get a fair shake with the judges.

But why bother if he can make good money fighting in Europe? Us fans want to see the best against the best, but these guys are making a living and we don't always get what we want. Eventually they need to step it up, or else get tagged as avoiders (PBF, Calzaghe, ...). Even those two are next going to be in fights we want to see.

sturm would have to win 8-9 rounds with some KD's to ensure victory, but even then look what happened to ruiz-golota, 2 KDs and a point deduction and he still lost, what makes u think any of this could not happen to sturm, its a perfect situation for him to get robbed

Anything is possible, Thats why you have to be confident in your own abilities. Look at Zab vs. Spinks. he knew he could win and he was a challenger, so he had to go by the Champs terms. I can understand where u are coming from but even if he goes and there and does good at least he will be granted a rematch, thats what Tarver did with Jones. This just sounds like an excuss. Be honest with me on 1 thing though, Where you atleast a little disappointed that Sturm turned down this fight?

Taylors camp knew all about the situation. They knew that he most likely wouldn't take the offer. This is a pretty weak attempt.

Sturm should be WC (actually he still is in my eyes. He never lost that title to DLH) again one day but it's just not the right time now.
No, Dude, he won't. Not if he fights for the WBA regular title. He will be a "champion" and then he can probably spend the rest of his career ducking Taylor, if he so chooses.

Look, if Sturm wants to put his pocketbook ahead of his legacy, so be it. But if he wants to earn the respect of fans worldwide, then he has to tough it out. Too late now, of course.

Know what's funny? I came into this discussion liking Sturm. The more I talk to his fans and listen to their lame-ass excuses, the less I respect him. How about you guys just admit that he's doing the scared thing here, he's doing the weak thing, and he isn't being as fighterly as he should be?

i would be disappointed if sturm turned down the fight if it was held elsewhere but it isnt, its in little rock AK, if sturm gets robbed and is givin a rematch what would be the point?

after what already happened to Sturm, what's saying that it won't happen again in the U.S. & in the champ's own hometown.
