Comments Thread For: Floyd Sr. on Mayweather's Return, Guerrero-Berto, More

On Thursday evening, I spotted colorful trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. near ringside during the Ray Beltran-Ji-Hoon Kim headlined show at the Mirage Hotel and Casino.

Upon spotting Mayweather, I instantly thought of the latest news surrounding his son Floyd Jr., as it was announced that he is looking to fight in both May and September of 2013.

Asked for his thoughts on his son’s impending return, Floyd Sr. seemed pleased.

“It’s good about my son fighting,” he claimed. “I would rather see him fight more often.”

This is some of the truest **** that Roidweather sr has ever spoken. Roidweather jr. is getting up in age and his day is coming to an end soon. There is no way Roidsweater can keep talking 1 or 2 yrs off at a time and coming back and beating hungry younger guys. Plus his picking are getting slimmer and slimmer. And I cannot wait for the day that someone gives Fraud Roidweater his first "L" so he could get out of boxing and retire already. The dude is holding up the parade and needs to get out of line already, with his smoke screens his idiotic comments about certain fighters and his constant ducking and dodging etc etc etc. Get lost Roidsweather!

Guerrero won't be as easy as people think. Floyd's legs are gone. Ghost is gonna smother him and try to win on punch output and not even attempt to fight Floyd in the middle of the ring..

At 154 I honestly think Canelo is too big and strong for Floyd. Floyd's 2 fights at 154 he looked basic.. Now he actually would be fighting someone in their prime at 154 while Floyd would be 36 with no legs or power to keep Canelo off of him

likes to hate on this fight, i mean, wtf did this writer expect him to say? all 3 fights were close in one way or another, hoping this one is definitive and more exciting than the 1st 3

Floyd's gonna land that straight right hand all night though. As tough as Guerrero can potentially be because of Floyd's age, Floyd will be even tougher. Also, it's not like Floyd is easy to hit. Collazo, Ortiz, Zaveck, Quintana, all hit Berto. Ortiz didn't have anywhere near that type of success against Floyd, and neither will Guerrero.

One thing that is for sure is that Guerrero IS there to be hit, and he DID get hit a lot against Berto. Mayweather is an amazing inside fighter, if Guerrero wants an inside fight, he'd get beat in there.

They're going to tell you he failed 3 drug tests and provide you no proof.

Of course Guerrero is an easy fight. Why else would he be the front runner? They don't call him the worlds biggest duck for nothing ya know
