Agreed. But in today's boxing environment, it's nice to have a shiny record. It might be bullshit, but it sells. Chavez looks good enough to be taken care of a little bit himself. That experience with Verdejo will probably benefit him, but there was no need for him to fight a guy like Felix in only his second professional contest.

One thing is for sure Verdejo has a big body for his division. 5'9 with long arms and a cut body = future WW.

Easily. Maybe even middleweight. Felix is only 19. He's got some growing to do yet. He can do some damage if he can stay in the division long enough.

Look pretty good and a solid competition on he's first fight, looked a little anxious but it was he's first pro fight so, can't wait to see him again on N.Y in January 19

            Next Trinidad?

His style couldnt be more different. If anything he is closer to a John John Molina type of fighter. Using 1-2 combinations and stepping away in time.

Molina kept jumping like and amateur and using his feet and arm reach to get in and out fast. He didnt have brutal ko punch power but enough to hurt you and swell your face up.

That's the guy Im seeing right now in Verdejo. Molina gave De La Hoya a tougher fight than Tito too.

Yeah he is far from being the next Tito but he is only 19 and Top Rank most have saw something we missed on his first fight to give him that huge gurantee. I think we need to see more to call him the next John John molina or next Tito

Way early but he looked pretty good! He is very mature in the ring. The other kid also looked good. Verdejo never saw his opponent before the fight as they changed his opponent at the las minute. Just something to consider.
