I'm going to give Gamboa a pass because of the long layoff. I think he needs one more fight before he hits full stride.

To me, this fight is the equivalent of Lara/Hernandez or Rigo/Marroquin. I thought the Cubans would've been able to get their opposition outta there, but they just weren't able to. Gamboa is doing worse than his counter-parts though, and that's partially due to the ring rust.
