I agree with the guy that said this fight make no sense. Ortiz should comeback in a tune up fight and not straight into a title fight, even if it is malignaggi ortiz doesnt really deserve it as hes coming from back to back losses. I think malignaggi should take on the alexander-brook winner. I like both fighters and i think they can go in any direction as gbp controls most of the top ww

The World Boxing Association has set the deadline of January 27 for a mandatory fight between welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi (32-4, 7KOs) and interim-beltholder Diego Chaves (22-0, 18KOs) of Argentina. Malignaggi captured the title in April and made a voluntary defense against Pablo Cesar Cano on October 20th. Chaves won the interim-crown in July and retained the belt on September 22nd against Jose Miranda.

Ortiz is too mentally unstable, Malinaggi can box on the outside to a UD. The moment Ortiz hurts his opponent he goes full ******.

true, ortiz has a short fuse and tends to lose control, i guess that's his biggest weakness

I would definitely favor Ortiz in this one.
