All fighters successfully made weight for the 2012 season finale of Boxeo Telemundo, which airs live from the Civic Center in Kissimmee, FL (Friday, Telemundo, 11:35PM ET).
In the main event, Jose ‘Maui’ Nieves takes on Glenn ‘The Rock’ Porras in a 12-round bantamweight battle. Nieves came in at 117.4 lb, while Porras was right at the divisional limit of 118 lb.
Nieves (28-3, 17KO) – based out of Carolina, Puerto Rico - enters the fight on the heels of a three-fight win streak, all of which has taken place at this very venue. Porras (20-2-3, 9KO) fights in the U.S. for the third straight time after a career spent almost exclusively in his native Philippines.
