Dan Rafael b*tching at the Garcia/Judah press conference

Dan Rafael is a good analyst when it comes to explaining the business side of boxing and giving inside scoops but as an interviewer he's annoying as f$ck. Look at him trying to defend Zab's resume and crying about the brawl :

I don't like brawls either but these things happen, no need to keep harping on it.

I was already mad at his first question. Stfu tubby and let Angel do his thing.

What a huge *****...he came off as butthurt. He was probably scared for his life during the "brawl". Maybe now I understand why Elie always clowns on him.

I hate his condescending tone. He should stick to giving us scoops on the latest negotiations and whatnot.

Fair questions. The butthurt appears to be on the part of those who get uncomfortable when fighters/trainers/promoters etc. get asked tough questions.

That's what a journalist is supposed to do, not tongue the interviewee's balls in Elie Seckbach fashion.

Danny's right. Angel is a pugnacious mofo, but he was just stating what most of us agree with - any time Zab has stepped to major level he's lost - with the one exception of Cory Spinks, who he also lost to the first time. It was Zab who really initiated the near brawl by standing up and going nose to nose with Garcia.

Dan Rafael is an obese schmuck, his moral indignation makes me LOL.

He's not asking tough questions, he's asking ****** questions. "Is this good for boxing? A near riot?" "Are you embarassed by your father?" Come on now. I don't like brawls but it's gonna sell tickets and draw high ratings, like it or not. And of course Danny is not gonna criticize his father. Just forget about it and ask boxing questions.

I'm not bothered by press conference drama, but I think it's only fair that Danny Garcia gets challenged on the matter of his father's behaviour. He's going to benefit from it (in the short-term at least) in the form of publicity surrounding his fights. It's not unreasonable for him to be asked to justify it.

You can ask him about it, but to ask him if he's embarassed by his father? You know he's never gonna badmouth his father so what's the point of asking this? Just a way to subliminally attack them. He's simply mad because the drama happened right when they were about to serve food.
