Sorry for the ignorance..just interested to kno.

He's popular because he's white itlanian and from buffalo. He barly beat jirov and barret if they would have been 12 rounds he would have lost both. He's got a good punch, ok skills, a big stamina problem, and a less than average chin. He is tough though and has heart. he has a come at you style but he is calm about it and throws smart punches

When he fights C rated opponents he's great..when he fight B rated opponent,then its a great fight with lots of action and equal abilties...when and if he fights A rated fighters he will/does have a hard time because of their over power and ability...people lke him cuz u can truly see that he has heart and loves boxing..bet then when he fought Jirov he was hit behind the head which cause brain problems/head injury etc..they took hsi license away..no he may be coming back and ppl are worried for his health.

i used to like him, but now that i look at his fights, hes not really anything special. got lucky decisions against jirov and barett, and blew away TOS in 1. got a few subderal hematomas (brain bleeding) and after about a year and a half, hes cleared to fight.

hes got ok skills, plenty of power, heart, and stamina (i think) and a questionable chin.

personally, i dont think he'll accomplish anything significant in the boxing game today. MAYBE he'll win a title, but even he wont keep it for very long.

mesi is very popular because he comes from a small market (buffalo, ny) he has heart and great punching power when he fights less than top 10 competition. basically he was the great whit hope. i think heshould quit because of the beating jirov gave him. if he doesn't quit and wants to fight on he should fire his father/trainer and employ a top trainor like goosen/atlas/stewart something on that level. otherwise he will be what he is a B fighter. maybe a dead B fighter
