I was actually impressed by his skill, speed and precision punching. I never seen the kid fight or heard of him but i like what i saw. Granted it was only a few rounds but i'd say hes got a good future ahead of him. Whats your opinion on him?

Well he just stopped Salvador Sanchez II so.... I'd say he's PR's future star

Yes i agree that sanchez isnt a great fight but i think velez showed great skill and looked good in that fight. Some ppl may feel thats exactly the way the fight was supposed to go. I on the other hand have never seen him before and he left a good impression in my eyes. I wont make any premature comments on his ability and who he can beat but i feel he has a bright future

I had never seen this Vélez kid fight until last night. I had heard positive reviews and he has made the news here in Puerto Rico before. Well, this Chava clone showed nothing, but Vélez seems to have good fundamentals. I think he has a future but it might be too soon to put him in the ring with Ponce.
