Zero chance the fight ever happens. Floyd was a tiny 154 pounder against Cotto, and Cotto looked like he was a child fighting a man when he fought Trout. But most importantly, Floyd only has (at best) two more fights left in him. Maybe less given his age and inactivity. Why would he fight a man who brings zero money, no credit, and does nothing for his legacy? Floyd wants huge paydays and then he is retired.
Would Floyd duck Trout??

high risk, low reward (in terms of $)= no. He's better off fighting Cotto in a rematch. Maybe Hatton will rethink his retirement.Comment

a lot of people feel Trout eventually moves to 160, he had to strip down to make the scales for this fight. Trout/Martinez would be a good fight that I think eventually happens, both guys are "Next Tier" below mainstream star status, similar to the Dawson/Ward fight. I actually would pick Trout to win a decision over Sergio at this point only because Sergio ****ed his knee up and by the time that fight ever happens Sergio would be at least 38 years oldComment

Yea so when was the last time Floyd fought a mandatory? Now all of a sudden when ppl think this mandatory has a chance if beating him, he's ducking? Smh. Anyways trout is the perfect fight for Canelo. Floyd isn't fighting him. Call it a duck if u want.Comment

No that's exactly what it is.....Comment

Floyd said it himself that he only has 1 or 2 more fights and then hes done for good. So him fighting Trout doesn't make sense because its not a money fight. If Floyd only has 1 or 2 more fights then they will be big money fights because it a lot more sense.Comment

No, maybe just the top guy in his division. He already did it with Cotto. Why not do it again? He's getting paid $80 Million a fight. he already avoided Pacquiao at WW and if he doesn't fight the top guy at JMW because they're too risky with low reward. Then yes that's called ducking
but you're known as a fanboy apologist so I don't expect you to be unbiasedComment
