    Trout/Cotto?

Now first I must say Trout surprised me. Now before I get into that I must say Cotto is in a tough situation right now. He is a good fighter, but he is just to small for jmw. Problem is he can't make 147 comfortably so I don't know what his plans are. It's funny Canelo still wants to fight him despite Trout calling him out. Anyway back to Trout. I honestly thought Cotto would win off skills alone, and Trouts inactivity in rounds when fighting at times. But Trout came out and let his hands go, he came to win. I was very surprised how aggressive he was. Good fight. Trout won a close fight.

Most people had it 116-112, a few also had 117-111

    Not close, not dominating.

Superb performance for a first fight at this level

I agree I saw him using a few moves Mayweather used like the sweeping right. I'm surprised Cotto didn't work on defending it after his last fight. I thought he looked unsure while walking in but he didn't seem pressured at all in the ring.

The Cotto that fought Floyd would have Ko'd the Trout that fought Rodriguez. Cotto and pedro didn't have a good game plan, or if they did, Cotto didn't exicute it right in the ring, he seemed to lack heart or detirmaination...i don't know. But Trout improved on a few flaws i saw in the Rodriguez fight.

He consistently used his jab, and just seemed to big and didn't let Cotto pressure him. When Cotto feels his power isn't bothering his opponent, he somehow starts to fade. Even training in higher elevations didn't seen to help him a lot. It helped a little, but not enough.
