How decieving is Gabriel Rosado's record? How good is he?

Something about the youngster caught my eye. Recently he called out Canelo and though that may be a little premature in 6mos it will be very interesting. As of now he'll be taking on Golovkin in january. Considerinng his improvements since his Angulo beatdown this is a very winnable fight. I would guess that puts me in the minority.

At the end of the day I see a huge upside to Rosado. His KO first mentality makes for entertaining fights. He's young enough to build a fan base. With his Puerto Rican decent it wont be a problem anyway. I basically wanted to see what the general concensus is on Gab. I say sky's the limit. Win over GGG and a star is born. What's your verdict?

He started late in boxing has been learning on the job and very fast against a very good level of comp. He is always improving very dangerous fight for anyone at 154 don't know about him fighting GGG, he is taking a huge chance on a dangerous gamble but maybe it will pay off.

Solid fighter, good power and he can box. He could have beat K9 and established himself as a top 10 JMW but he decided to take another route. I don't think GGG will have much trouble against him though.

he only had about 14 amateur fights and started boxing at the age of 18. his first two losses were to nobodies but that was due to how raw and green he was. he had no backing so had to take the hard road and took on fights he probably shouldn't have at the time like fernando guerrero and alfredo angulo, but hes super determined and dedicated and it shows. he's been getting better and better every fight and will continue to get better. By the way gaby is a friend of mine and i used to train at the same gym as him

I like to watch Golovkin turn up in a fight but there are obvious reservations about giving him my seal of approval. He's very hittable. Ouma and Provska both landed clean against him. The problem is that neither had the power to bust a g****. Another thing is that GGG waits and waits. If he waits Rosado will fill that gap. The size difference wont be huge. Basically Golo has had every advantage in the fights Ive seen. I dont know if he can take a good power shot.

Cool. His boxing is improving rapidly. I really dug his mentality as a young guy more than anything. I actually believe he can do what he says he can and not just some new guy runnin his mouth. Id like to see him get another crack at Angulo. I watched a couple full fights last night and he's not the same guy that fought Angulo.

Like Molina, his win/loss record doesn't tell you how much potential he actually has, and how far he's come as a fighter. It also doesn't tell you that he has a quality trainer.

he defitnetly believes he can, hes not just gassing himself but realistically i think he may be biting off a little more than he can chew with ggg. what ever happens tho he will give 100% and it wont be easy. i would of like to see him force k9 to defend his title as i think he could easily be k9

I thought the same thing at first. So I took a look at GGG too. He definitely hits hard. If I was Rosado I would work heavily on slipping punches. He will without a doubt get to unload offensively because thats what Golovkin allows everyone to do. Theyre both good finishers so it'll be fun.
