Can Manny Pacquiao Drop Erik Morales?

Morales chin is one of the best in the sports. Sayin that Pac can KO Terible is pretty hard to imagine. But what about this?

Can Pacquiao knock down Erik Morales?

-Pacquiao is the hardest hitter Morales face

-Pacquiao managed to hurt Terible bad in the 12th round of their last fight.

-Pac has dropped fightas wit amazing punch resistance like Marco Antonio Barrera (3 times 2 counted) and Juan Manuel Marquez (3 times). Even Eliecer Juilo which has neva been stopped in his 45+ fights (he stopped him in 2 rounds). And at 130lbs he stopped Vasquez who Rocky Juarez took into full 12 rounds.

I don't think there's any question about Pacquiao's ability to drop anybody from 130 (maybe 135) down. If PacMan hits Morales flush, it's hard to imagine Morales staying on his feet. I think Pacquiao is gonna win a decision this time. Morales just looked too bad in his last fight to make him a heavy favorite.

        Potentially yes...realistically no.

It would have to be a balance issue, with Morales catching a good straight left while backing up straight up or something.

Morales has been hurt by punches in combination before, but never really by 1 punch. The guy is a 130 pound rock...Pacquiao would have to hit him with quite a few nasty shots in succession to put him down.

Do you think that Raheem's straight right in the 5th round didn't hurt Terible?

Yeah he can definitely drop Erik Morales, especially is Pac can use that right hook like he did in his last fight. Pac needs to mix up his attack a bit more for a crafty fighter like Morales. he has to catch him off guard, he never threw a right hook in their first fight. it was all double right hand jabs and the straight left. if he can mix it up a bit we will see a completely different fight, that and if Pac can learn to fight going backwards.
Morales and his camp said that they noticed that Pac can't fight moving back, so they backed him up the whole fight or at least tried too.
i think that those two things are key for Pac in winning this fight and knocking down Morales. being able to fight backing up and thowing the right hook......

Yeah, really. Raheem is not far from a pillow puncher and he almost put Morales down with that one. But that was also a case of Morales fighting way out of his element as a Lightweight. I was so mad at Morales for moving that far up in weight. No way could he ever be competitive at 135.

I don't think Erik should fight at 135lbs. He just looked very sluggish and you can easily get a misconception about him. I'd say he's still game and can put on the same performance he did first Manny fight. As for Manny dropping Morales, I doubt it. Manny hit Velasquez with some pure solid shots that were right on the face at full speed and power. Velasquez was hurt though didn't go down. I highly doubt Morales will. Of course, if Manny does unleash a punch that Morales doesn't see or expect(uppercut perhaps?), Manny would floor Morales though I doubt put him away for good. I see Manny's power dropped greatly at 130lbs, and find it hard to agree with anyone that it's still there. 1 more thing, Manny didn't hurt Morales badly at all in the 12th as people assume. It was clearly blood/wet canvas that Morales was slipping all over and that's not hard to believe considering the amount of blood Manny lost all over the place. Morales was in complete control in the 12th and knew what he was doing. Morales went into southpaw for heaven's sake, he was completely off balance. Yet he hurt Manny worse in southpaw than Manny did. You see that right hand that Morales ****ed back that almost dropped Manny? No idea what kept Manny on his feet though w/e. Still, 50/50 chance come fight night. I want Manny to win though I'd still pick Morales over him.

Yea. That punch IMO hurt Terible. You could see it in his eyes.

But we also have to keep in mind that in that fight Morales was already eating alot of clean shots from Raheem since the beggining of the 1st round. A lot of clean shots.
