But this is boxing, health plays a role in the career of a fighter and I don't think he knows what he's getting himself into.... One brutal beating could eliminate all of those things to look forward for (in many different ways), so its a huge risk, IMO. Still gotta give the kid props for taking the fight. Once in a life time opportunity.
I didn't take some factors into consideration. It would really suck if IBF stripped him of something he earned in the ring, and it's not like the two sanctioning bodies have a bad relationship (do they?). It's also at a different weight, so hopefully he'll get a pass. On the health/human factor, it is definitely possible that Rosado's toughness could wind up damaging him in this fight. I'm hoping that his corner isn't hesitant to throw in the towel if it starts to get ugly.

Rosado has more experience, really? He had like 11 amateur fights, while Golovkin had a stellar amateur career, over 200 fights and wins over some good fighters. Some sayin' he had 300-350 fights, but his record is not the point. The point is GGG is MUCH more experienced and complete fighter than Rosado will ever be.

Nobody at 154 wants to buy Rosado. It's a good fight IMO, Rosado can punch and is a huge jmw. Rosado could easily fight at 160 and I agree 154 is probably is best weight but someone like Rosado will keep getting ****ed and get the fights he deserves 154. Nobody wants it with GGG at 160 and same goes for Rosado at 154. It makes sense and definitely will produce fireworks.
I'm really looking forward to this card, 3 great fights to start off the year.

Moving up in weight is a dumb move by Rosado, he should have hung on for that shot at the belt held by Bundrage. Very winnable fight for him that could change his career around.

From Golovkin's perspective this is just a cherry pick intended to make him look good. Beating up on a junior middleweight when there are so many good middleweights out there right now.

This. But the problem is that they offered a fight to all top MWs including Sturm (who had been ducking GGG for about 2 years), Macklin and Quillin and NOBODY wanted to fight this dude...

No point blaming GGG for cherry picking. You obviously didn't pay attention to news about Golovkin. He called out all the big names from 154 to 168lb. He's ready to fight anyone. Many good middleweights around? No one with a name is ready to take that risk. However at this point it's HBO not him who's choosing his next opponent. So we can't blame GGG for Rosado - it's a choice made by HBO.

I told you so. ****** career move, he put all his eggs in one basket. Even if he does win the fight, then what? Martinez and Chavez are busy fighting tune ups and having their rematch, Quillin/Geale/Pirog aren't big stars so Rosado won't make big money fighting them. Compare that to Trout, Angulo, Kirkland and maybe even Canelo @154. And Berto said he was moving up soon. Rosado ****ed his career up for a HBO payday, and the money probably isn't even that good.

Instead, he walked thru almost everything he threw
There was some very tough days before that Ouma fight. Due to his manager/promoter (at the time) fault he spent two day in airport sleeping on the chair and had a flue. After the fight he said that he could not see much and felt extremely heavy. So all he could do is simply throwing chots in the direction of Ouma till he just broke him down. Don't take that fight as characteristic of GGG.
