Why was Manny afraid of Cotto?

the first time Manny avoided Cotto was when Cotto was coming out of a huge victory over Margarito and was the 154 Champion.. Manny wanted a "Catch" weight, Cotto said no and moved to fight Floyd Mayweather

the second time Manny avoided Cotto was after Cotto lost to Mayweather but fought a very brave fight, Manny wanted a "Catch" weight, Cotto said no and moved to fight Trout..

at a "Catch" weight, seems like Pac cant beat boxers without one, why is he making Marquez go up in weight? I´m sure Pac can make 140 alright

          n just to let you Know...Cotto's "huge victory" over a one-eyed Margarito(thnx 2 Pac) wasn't at 154...
It was at a catchweight .
