Pacquiao beat Cotto at 145 a weight he had no record at. Think about it, Cotto has a 100% loss record at 145, its clearly his worst weight class. That win is meaningless.

mayweather beat cotto when he was undefeated at 154. He only had to weigh 150 to do it, beat him so well that a new comer like trout could use his blue print the next fight and take advantage of all of the wear on now past prime cotto.

It was a risky fight to begin with. I thought Cotto should have fought someone easier.

Cotto left a lot in the ring last May against Mayweather. He was previously undefeated at 154 with a 3 fight win streak before Mayweather schooled him and almost dropped him in the 12th.

Its clear that loss took a lot out of Cotto not just mentally as we knew but physically as well.

Cotto lost this fight due to size. Austin was much taller and had a 6 inch reach advantage. Cotto made a mistake takin this fight based off that, but at the same time cotto doesnt duck fighters like most people.
