Joe Calzaghe will Loose in all actuallity, however if Calzaghe makes it to the end of the fight he will win. We have seen his gifts in the past and since this fight is overseas you can kiss lacy's belt goodbye. Unless Lacy knocks him out. Even in knocking him out he will loose because Calzaghe will get a 1,000 count and be allowed to get up and Lacy will get disqaulified for hitting Joe's jaw with his fist which is Illegal in Wales (Under Welsh Boxing rules) if you are fighting Calzaghe.

Come now, it should be a farily fair fight (no pun intended). Jeff Lacy is a monster though, and i'm pretty pessimistic about Calzaghe's chances (although I do sort of hope he wins, since he's from the UK like me)

I know you're trying to be sarcastic, but Britain isn't Germany. Calzaghe is the recognized champ at 168 so Lacy does have to beat him impressively to win the title; that's just a given. If Lacy wins 8 rounds and doesn't score any knockdowns, he'll probably get a draw because you know the rounds will be close. I know it's wrong and shouldn't be that way, but that's the way it is.

Lacy is probably the harder hitter (by a wee bit). Probably overall not as good a boxer as Calzaghe was, but Calzaghe's losing it (slowly). Within 5 years i'd say Calzaghe's career will be over (the usual two or three losses before hanging up the gloves), Then again, I suppose he has a chance in this bout.

Of course he should beat him impressively that is a given. when someone is trying to take the title I feel that they should have to earn it. I am the first to say that Fights like Taylor vs hopkins should not have gone the way that they did. I like Taylor and all but he did not do enough to take Hopkins belt. If Lacy goes over and fights to even a draw I would not want him to win. I feel that the belt should be legitimately lifted. But its no secret that in the past Calzaghe has gotten a few gifts or helpouts. Some of his fights have had some strange occurrances such as him being knockedown and getting up and knocking the other person down and them calling the fight off. Things like that. as well as a few other strange things. Can he fight? Joe and Jeff have both fought nobodies so out of the two I would have to pick the younger Lacy. It isnte necessarily their fault that division has nobody. But anyway all that I am saying is that if nothing strange goes on and the scoring is fair then Lacy should win, although Joe has a chance. I think that Lacy will ko him or do enough to lift the title in reality. (witholding bad calls and poor decisions.)

By the way, Lacy, imo, is proof positive that weight lifting does not make boxers slow, weak or any of the bull**** people say it does.
