One sided beating and a TKO stoppage in 5th round even earlier. Jeff Lacy the victor.

If Calzaghe fights like he can then he'll win, if he stays upright then he outboxes Lacy because Joe is a better boxer than Lacy! I don't think Joe at 33 is too old, the man has never been in any wars, Byron Mitchell was a flash knockdown and he got punished for steaming in thinking Calzaghe was hurt, if Lacy believes the hype about Calzaghe, and how he is old and overrated and tries to walk through him, Joe will make him look silly.

Im going to go with Lacy on this, Lacy has huge KO power in his left hook (hense the nick name) but also has the same strengh in his right hand, can some one please post a gif of how explosive Lacy is, in the fights I have seen him in he kinda reminds me of Mike Tayson (not comparing him just reminds me) when Mike knew he had some one hurt he would fallow them and open up so much that he would just flat out destroy them, I think Lacy has the same mentallity, Mike Tayson obviously has one punch KO power that is why he was able to do this. So with that said I believe that he will win for sure KO 8 round.

it is too bad that we in the u.s.a. do not get to see the european fighters as often as we should. i can't see calzaghe beating lacey today. maybe 4 years ago but not today. i will watch though.

Weird that Calzaghe is the betting favorite, if you talk to other fans and read what they and boxing writers are saying, then you'd think Lacy would be a runaway favorite. Everyone is picking Lacy.

This is a hard fight to call, actually. Both are the best fighter the other has faced. Joe has never faced anyone who has that kind of quick, one punch power. Lacy has never faced anyone with Joe's handspeed and punch output. They both have shown the ability to be hurt by not the best punchers. And both have power, even Joe- though he shoeshines a lot, when he whips that left hand in with bad intentions then he has nice pop. So a stoppage victory is likely. But for whom?

Tough, tough call. Lacy has looked better and better in his last 2 fights, where Joe has seemed to decline. Granted, Lacy's opponents have been past their best. But he's shown incredible explosive power and has immense confidence in himself. It's going to an electric evening with those Welshman wigging out completely- will it shake and intimidate Lacy? Will it empower Calzaghe and help him revert back to form? Tough to call, as I said, but I'm sticking with Lacy. Probably by late stoppage. But I expect both fighters to be hurt at some point in the fight.

                      This is the FOTY, gentleman.
