But in January Floyd said Canelo was "too green" and "needed more experience". In May, Oscar said Canelo wasn't ready after the Mosley fight.

I don't see how beating Josesito Lopez changes any of that unless they just want a lucrative event on Cinco de Mayo.

i agree. since it's basically between guerrero or alvarez at this point, i'd like to see guerrero fight malignaggi, bradley, or the alexander/brook winner before getting a crack at mayweather. in the meantime mayweather could face alvarez for an unification at 154. i think alvarez would give floyd a tougher fight than cotto did.
