You sure you did your research? What fight led you to believe he would control the pace? The LaPorto fight?

Good luck. Trout is untested but what can you do when nobody wants to fight you?

But he has a strong amateur pedigree and a nice little skill set. We'll see how he handles fighting at the world championship level for the first time.

        You got to start somewhere.

Gonna be a good fight, Trout is a threat but I don't see him pulling this one out.
Cotto's experience and the atmosphere alone will be too much for him to overcome.
Not a bad bet, Cotto's best fights are behind him and Trout is hungry, but I would hardly call it a steal.
We'll see though, either you will have a great night or have to eat some crow.....

Cotto isn't a technical fighter. His defense isn't great either. All Cotto has are his Flurries. Trout is a versatile fighter, Cotto will get countered all night and when the timing is right Trout may even finish Cotto.

On top of all that, trout is TOO big for Cotto.

The only way Trout wins is and if he could throw 75 punches a round and pressure Cotto. If he fights smart back up etc.. He wont last against Cotto..

I really hate betting, thats why I dont even bet on boxingscene. Hope you're a rich guy so you dont get depressed and kill yourself if you end up losing.

                Good luck anyway.

I think the OP made a pretty smart bet. You rarely get 2:1 odds for a world champion who's younger, stronger, and taller than his opponent. The only reason I'm not betting - and also why I didn't bet against guzman last night - is cause of the judging.

Even if Trout makes it close or wins more rounds which I doubt, it's still in New York. Chances of Trout winning by anything other than a knockout are very slim.
