    Multiple sources in the Russian media have confirmed that the former WBO heavyweight champion of the world Shannon Briggs (51-6-1, 45 KOs) will be back in the ring on December 17 at Crocus City Hall in Myakinino, Moscow, Russia. The American veteran will face 31-year old Raphael Zumbano Love (32-6-1, 25 KOs) of Brazil. The bout is scheduled for 8 rounds.

    after the beating he took from vitali i'm surprised he came back. he did claim injury(another briggs excuse)& i am very interested to see what he weighs. he should take love out easily but that's what i said about mccline fighting sconiers...

      If that was a swipe at the guy, then may you get what he got. Serious injuries are no joke.

        i like briggs & he took a serious beating & was hospitalized. he claimed he hurt his shoulder & fought vitali with one hand. maybe he did but shannon has had a history of making excuses when he loses. i give him credit as he said he wanted a rematch even after the beating he took. i wouldn't wish an injury on anyone.

            I still want to know what happened between Briggs and his former promoter. We never did hear the full truth about how Briggs was paid.

              he definitely was injured... had an expensive surgery on his bicep in germany, and supposedly his promoter had not paid his insurance so he had to pay for the surgery with his purse.
