WHat a mismatch!! I actually felt bad for Gatti. He could of at least gone out like Angel Manfredy did and go all out. I expected that much of him. And what's up with Floyd crying and praising God after the win. You call someone a "c plus" fighter, whip him then cry and say "God is Good" after that.. I wonder if Floyd lost a controversial decision afterwards if he'd say "God is good"? I could see shedding tears if you win when youre' not supposed to or if a love one dies, but those tears were almost as pohony as the Menendez brothers!!
Just saw Gatti/Mayweather!!

That night was one of the most depressing in the city of Montreal
About Gatti not going all out...
He tried his best and Mayweather was simply the better fighter. He couldn't get inside with Mayweather's quickness. He didn't go "all out" because he didn't know the fight would be stopped. He said he wanted to go one more round, which then he would go all out and attempt to knock Mayweather out. Don't disrespect one of the greatest entertaining brawlers like that for saying he didn't go all out

You just admitted yourself that Gatti didn't go all out to try and get inside. Even Roy said Gatti should sell out to get inside because hed get picked apart all night otherwise. Plus Gattis eyes were swelling and staring to shut. He knew this so if he wanted to go all out and risk getting Ko'd he would have done it a round or two earlier. I think he was happy to end the fight on his feet with his corner stopping it!Comment

All that fight did was prove to the people who still weren't convinced that Mayweather is the most talented fighter in the world and that he has all the tools necessary to be the greatest fighter of the last 20 years. He did everything he's been doing since the fight with NDou in 2003 only he did it on a larger stage.
But he's gotta get by my boy, Judah first

He was trying to fight it tactical until it was just too late. If they would've let him go another round after they told him that they'll call it off I'm sure he would've tried to brawl. Fact is, no way he could've beaten him so who cares really? Gatti always has my respect for giving the fans a show.Originally posted by aps214You just admitted yourself that Gatti didn't go all out to try and get inside. Everybody should respect Gatti even if you don't like boxing. Gatti has done more with his natural God given ability than any other fighter I can think of, and more than 99 percent of the population has in their lives.Comment

You're not kidding. I almost cried near the end. The only other time Ive ever cried with anything sports related is when Pat Tillman died. I'm just thankful that Floyd wasnt disrespectful after the fight.Comment
