Comments Thread For: Peter Manfredo Jr. Dominates Rayco Sauders Easy

LINCOLN, R.I. – Nearly one year removed from what he originally thought would be his last fight, “The Pride Of Providence” made an emphatic – and successful – return to the ring Thursday night in front of his hometown fans.

Peter Manfredo Jr. (38-8) dominated Pittsburgh, Pa., challenger Rayco Saunders (22-19-2) to earn a 99-91, 100-90, 100-90 unanimous-decision win at Twin River Casino in the 10-round main event of Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports’ “The Pride Is Back” professional boxing event.

Did the Chavez fight money already dry up? Personally nothing about Peter impresses me, Manfredo will be nothing more then a gate keeper, and a low level marketable name at that.

Maybe he got sick of pushing a broom again.

        Who matched Manfredo with Calzage

I like Manfredo. But the morons managing this poor kid are idiots. He just fought a tomato can with 19 losses. makes no sense. This is a good kid and Petey deserves better management. sad

Manfredo is a class act, but he'll never be a top tier fighter. Good for him for the win though. Know it must feel good for him.

give this guy a break. i know the guy works hard at a living to feed his family and does not have 24/7 to dedicated to working on boxing like the some of the boxers do. He works at a factory and after the shift to work on boxing...not really a way to excel since he only have so much enegry afterwards.

Marginal fighters do not need tune up fights

Manfredo has never been properly trained all the way. This poor guy might have the worst management of any fighter ever. It's like Pete is being handled by the 3 stooges. Almost a crime how this poor kid is managed. What moron is advising Manfredo? sad he is a misguided kid.

manfredo's back! i say match him up with golovking. i mean if manfredo can survive calzaghe surely he can handle little golovkings punches. i think manfredo takes golovkin by Split Decision!
