Oner divided Salas' training cut in half giving five percent to Carlito.

This happened right after the PDL fight and Salas had no heads up on this whatsoever.

That sounds very odd. I read on Wikipedia that Salas was fired because he was against the Rios fight. Indeed that was a great team, he was developing Gamboa along nicely.

Im surprised there hasn't been a video posted from this media day. There's gotta be a video around somewhere...

against the fight? nah man, it was all about money. Salas is a trainer he would've done his job regardless.

Carlos Gamboa, yes. Salas to me was fundamental in Gamboa's development in that phase of his career.
Whether or not Salas could have with provided Gamboa with proper training as Gamboa progressed to an 'elite level' is debatable. I for one thought he could.

Funny that Oner wanted Orlando Cuellar to be Gamboa's trainer right after he fired Osmiri Fernandez post Darling Jimenez win, however Oner was convinced by Gamboa and his people that Salas was the man for the job.

Ironically, Yuri was probably convinced that he needed a new trainer after the Ponce win and didn't do much to save Salas.

finally can't wait to see Gamboa back in the mix. I'll be surprised if he has any ring rust outside of his moments when he forgets to pay attention. always seems to be in shape - I ran into him in vegas earlier this year, dude is a rock!!
