Thomas Hearns couldn't stop Leonard, Hearns was the most dangerous, lethal fighter of all time p4p IMO..
I don't see how Pryor could stop Leonard, no way..
Pryor TKO 4 Leonard? Please man..Comment

I never understood how many people claimed Ray ducked Hawk when Aaron never moved up in weight and forced the issue.
A big win at 147 would have pressed the issue, but instead he dominated 140.
Nothing wrong with that, and I think Pryor was a great great fighter, but I never bought into Ray ducking him.Comment

Right and its just that simple huh?
Leonard had bigger fish to fry...yes that's figuratively and literally. Pryor wasn't a big payday for the risk he posed, and Leonard had already proved himself as a guy who can topple dangerous obstacles.
Tell me what Aaron Pryor did better than Ray Leonard that makes one think that he'd beat Leonard in the ring? What skill or intangible was it? I really need to know this.Comment

Leonard would clown him profusely, and would win virtually every round. Where you get these ideas is beyond everyone.

You're not getting it bro.
When Ray unified the Welter title in 1981, Pryor hadn't beaten Arguello yet.
That would be like Cotto calling out Judah today.
If Arguello was serious about a fight with Ray Leonard, he could have moved to Welterweight and positioned himself to force the fight.
He didn't do that, so talk of 'ducking' is kind of silly.Comment

Man, I don't really believe Hawk would have won. He had the energy to make it to the final bell, but as much as I don't really like Leonard, he would have won a fairly wide decision. I was just pissed that Leonard appeared to duck Pryor, but now that I think about it, you guys are right. Pryor should have gone up in weight, fought a few bums to test the water, and proceeded after Leonard if he wanted it so bad. Nowadays, nobody from the lower weight classes calls out somebody from a higher weight class to come DOWN and fight them. I mean look what happened to Roy! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! God, I loved seeing that man knocked the hell out by Tarver.Comment
