To put on my tinfoil hat for just a moment, didn't Pacquiao have just six months left on his Top Rank contract when that fight took place? Meaning that it suited Arum to have Manny's market value reduced at that particular point in time.

Personally I feel it was a close fight that could have gone either way, but it was certainly strange that such a close fight went against the big name fighter.
